Jekibs Consulting is a professional audit and advisory firm dedicated to strengthening the financial, governance, and reporting capacity of small and medium-sized Not-for-Profit Organizations (NGOs).
The firm was founded to close a critical gap faced by small and medium-sized NGOs across East, Central, and the Horn of Africa: difficulty in attracting donor funds, maintaining compliance, and passing audits without disruption. This has, over time, primarily been achieved by bequeathing our deep understanding of Sustainable operational and Financial Systems to our Clients, which in turn creates a control environment that donors trust or can independently assess with ease.
Recently, our long history and relevant experience in the AID sector Advisory have also been a welcome asset by our AID-related partners (Both the Donors and the recipients), where we can now partner with them to identify relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and leverage on their respective comparative advantages. This again further endears our niche Clientele to further be trusted and remain current and relevant to the evolving funding dynamics – Particularly in being able to demonstrate the funding to measurable outputs (Impact)
Conversely the Donor community is able to focus with much ease those Non-Profits that , when considered from their bouquet of comparative advantages are better equipped in both capacity and strategy to optimize the limited basket of donor funds pursuant to the SDG Philosophy.
Our founder, a seasoned CPA and former Big 4 Audit Senior Manager, saw how many promising NGOs struggled to source funds, grow, or sustain their relevance while adhering to donor Compliance obligations ( including poor audit readiness). A lasting and Sustainable solution to this Challenge had to be addressed
Armed with over 20 years in NGO audit and financial advisory including being the Sector leader of teams covering NGOS across East, Central and Horn of Africa, the founder Supported by fellow Partners also well-grounded with similar experience and Passion helped found Jekibs Consulting in 2014 with a strong mission to change the aforementioned limitations – that more specifically afflicted the small and medium size Not for Profit entities.

View CVIn summary, our key purpose is to help nonprofits secure funding, stay compliant, and deliver measurable impact.
Anchored in the foregoing and inspired by our Motto- “Building Stronger NGOs Through Accountability & Growth,” we set out as follows, the processes, measures, and inputs to address the afore-mentioned challenges faced by our clients while focusing on sustainable growth within their unique & relative comparative advantages.
At JEKIBS Consulting, we walk alongside nonprofits through the full financial and compliance journey — from proposal design to final project closure. Our services are structured into five core pillars, each addressing a critical part of the NGO lifecycle.
We have Consolidated this profile to clearly describe how we walk with our Clients ( Current and Potential) through the Journey of Securing funding in terms of guiding how to not only Prepare proposals that are relevant to an intended intervention, structure the same in the manner that the potential donors require and generally help in appraising the recipient’s capacity to undertake the mandates in the said proposal.
We further remain at the disposal of the recipient to regularly review potential risks or capacity gaps that may derail the good intentions in their proposals. This includes, but is not limited to, review of compliance, continuity, and maintenance of a robust internal Control environment.
Additionally, we make continuous communication with these recipients without compromising their independence in identifying possible deviations that could lead to adverse project performance or audit reports. The latter may extend to ensuring audit Preparedness, especially where our clients may not fully comprehend the rigors always ingrained in the grant agreements.
Finally, we do help in setting up internal control mechanisms, including operational and financial manures that assure consistency and embedded corrective actions to system operational and Accounting Systems that donor own reviews or through designated auditors may unearth in course of their work . When called upon we do undertake both on site and on-line training and guidance on matters of interest, least not being donor compliance rules and applicable of internationally recognized Accounting and Auditing Standards (IPSAS).

We help nonprofits position themselves for funding success by crafting strong, compliant, and compelling donor proposals.

Donors expect transparent, timely, and standards-aligned financial reporting. We equip nonprofits to meet those expectations.

Audits should not be a source of fear — they should confirm trust. We ensure organizations are well-prepared to meet donor and statutory audit requirements and in so doing, ensure NGOs pass audits with confidence

At JEKIBS Consulting, we help nonprofits go beyond activity reporting by measuring tangible outcomes and long-term impact. Donors today require evidence that resources translate into meaningful change — not just outputs.
